Job summary

St. Mary's Health Care System is seeking a PRN CT technologist to cover for staff PAL, holidays and on-call in a hospital setting. The role involves performing routine CT scans, x-ray exams, fluoroscopy and OR work as needed.

Under the direction of a Radiologist, you will perform CT procedures with clinical judgment, assist with biopsies or special procedures, and provide care for diverse patient populations including pediatric to geriatric cases.

Qualifications

• Registered or registry eligible with ARRT.
• Graduate of AMA-Approved Radiographic technology program.
• One year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Performs radiographic procedures with independent judgment for radiographic diagnosis.
• Perform routine CT scans on pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric and trauma patients.
• Assist radiologist in biopsies, drain placements, injections, and markings.
• Perform angiography studies of brain, neck, and chest with 3D reformats.

What you will do:

• Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.
• Perform routine CT scans on pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, and trauma patients.
• Assist the radiologist in special procedures such as biopsies, drain tube placements, injections, and markings.
• Performing angiography studies of the brain, neck, and chest with 3D reformats

What you will need:

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: registered or registry eligible with ARRT
• Education: Graduate of formal Radiographic technology training in an AMA-Approved school.
• Experience: One year experience in hospital environment preferred and to demonstrate Radiological technology competence
