Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans per physician orders, ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic images.

You will prepare and position patients, administer contrast as appropriate, and transmit images to PACS in a fast-paced radiology department. The role requires ARRT-CT certification, state licensure, and BCLS certification, with the ability to work per diem in a PRN schedule.

Qualifications

  • One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
  • Radiology/ CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
  • ARRT-CT Certification is required
  • Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and protocols
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety
  • Prepare and position patients; administer contrast as appropriate
  • Process and transmit images to PACS
  • Collaborate with Radiologists and clinical teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
