Job summary

HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist PRN to operate CT imaging equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality radiographs.

You will assist physicians in procedures, manage exposure settings, and maintain safety standards in a fast-paced environment. The role involves patient education, image development, and collaboration with the radiology team to deliver timely, accurate results and exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification preferred.
• ARRT(R) certification required.
• Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imaging.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
• Positions patients utilizing immobilization devices.
• Sets exposure factors and positions equipment for optimal images.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns.
• Assists physicians with invasive procedures.
• Exposes and develops radiographic film.
• Operates mobile CT equipment in OR/ED/bedside as needed.
• Ensures age-specific patient care and safety.
