Overview

Interprets orders for requested exams, produces CT and diagnostic medical images, positions and transfers patients. Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis, operates equipment as directed, and provides protection in accordance with safety standards. Assists physicians with administering enhancing agents and medications. Responsible for delegated areas of authority in CT and special imaging techniques. Proficiently operates all related equipment, the computerized radiology information system, and office tools. Works collaboratively in all radiology areas, reports incidents, and maintains current CPR and continuing education credentials.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training.
• Relevant experience and capability for the role.
• A.R.R.T. registered or eligible upon hire; certification achieved within six months.
• Demonstrates respect, confidentiality, and aligns with Mercy Values.
• Preferred: ARRT Advanced Level certification in CT or working towards it.
