Job summary

Novant Health seeks a CT technologist to support physicians by preparing patients and operating CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans. The role requires an ARRT-approved Radiography program graduate or NMTCB-recognized training and licensure in CT with ARRT certifications, plus state licensure.

Preferred candidates have one year CT experience and demonstrate analytical ability, strong communication, and adaptability to patient age-specific needs.

Qualifications

• 2 Year / Associate Degree preferred; graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program required.
• One year CT experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT CT RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT; CT RT(CT) within 6 months of hire; NH-IR affiliated certifications required.
• State license required.
• Life Support Training per NH policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for procedures and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Assist physicians in CT procedures and ensure patient safety.

What We Offer

The CT technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What You'll Do

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
• Experience:One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT), required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required):Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates CT equipment.
