Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN seeks a CT Technologist to perform imaging procedures under physician orders in a fast-paced diagnostic environment. You will serve as a clinical resource for staff and respond promptly to information requests.

The role emphasizes proper exposure techniques, patient safety, and mentoring radiology students while contributing to efficient department operations and supply management.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program (24 months).
• ARRT CT certification or eligibility may be required.
• BLS certification current preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform a variety of CT imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Coordinate daily technologist assignments and ensure adequate staffing.
• Ensure exams are completed and moved to take status in the system.
• Operate department equipment safely and correctly.
• Teach and mentor radiology students.
• Apply proper exposure techniques and patient positioning.
• Assist in drug knowledge and safety and help manage supplies cost-effectively.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. CT technologist are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with director/manager, physician, staff or patient issues.

What you will do in this role:

• Assure adequate staffing according to volume, flexing when necessary.

• Coordinates daily technologist assignments.

• Assures that all exams are completed and put in take status.

• Operates all department equipment safely and properly

• Teaches and mentors radiology students

• Implements proper exposure techniques and positioning.

• Demonstrates knowledge of drugs, their actions, side effects and contraindications for administration.

• Helps manages supplies in a cost-effective manner.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiological Technology Program.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current.

• ARRT registered; CT Certification

• 1-3 yearsminimumCT Experience

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
