Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist to perform imaging procedures ordered by physicians and to support quality patient care in a diagnostic environment. The role includes serving as a clinical resource, responding to information requests, and collaborating with the director, staff, and patients.

The CT Technologist will help maintain staffing, coordinate assignments, operate equipment safely, and mentor radiology students.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiological Technology Program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current.
  • ARRT registered; CT Certification or acquired within 6 months.
  • 1–3 years CT experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate staffing according to volume; flex as needed.
  • Coordinate daily technologist assignments.
  • Ensure all exams are completed and marked as taken.
  • Operate department equipment safely and properly.
  • Teach and mentor radiology students.
  • Implement proper exposure techniques and positioning.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of drugs, actions, side effects, and contraindications for administration.
  • Help manage supplies in a cost-effective manner.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. CT technologist are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with director/manager, physician, staff or patient issues.

What You Will Do In This Role

What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiological Technology Program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current.
  • ARRT registered; CT Certification oracquiredwithin 6 months

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
