Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT scanners and produce diagnostic images in a patient-centered environment. This PRN position offers variable days and shifts with opportunities for additional pay differentials for PRN status, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities include patient prep, positioning, image acquisition, safety compliance, and RIS documentation. Requires AMA approved radiography program, ARRT registration, state licensure (where applicable), CPR, and

Qualifications

• Requires AMA approved radiography education and ARRT registration.
• Must be licensed in the state (where applicable).
• CPR certification required.
• Imaging specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanner to produce diagnostic images.
• Position patients and provide clear explanations during procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and records in RIS.
• Monitor equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Assist with imaging protocol updates and supply management.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a CT Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a temporary (PRN) position working variable days and shifts. Choose the hours you work!

We offer additional pay differentials for PRN status in addition to evening and weekend shift differential pay!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
3. Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
7. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(5%) CT/Imaging Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty

1. Bilingual
