Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified as CT Technologist.
• If not CT certified, cross-training to CT within 12 months.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• Certified in general radiologic technology by ARRT.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history, explains procedures and addresses concerns to ensure comfort.
• Operates and maintains all imaging department equipment including tomography scanners.
• Prepares patients for procedures by explaining process and positioning for correct images.
• Properly identifies, prepares and administers medications within scope as prescribed.
• Completes quality assurance and practices radiation safety to reduce exposure.
