Qualifications

• Certified CT Technologist
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology
• Certified in general radiologic technology by ARRT
• Current BLS certification
• Cross-training from another ARRT modality to CT within 12 months

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history, explain procedures and address patient concerns to ensure comfort.
• Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment including tomography scanners.
• Explain process and position patients to capture required images.
• Identify, prepare and administer medications within technologist scope as prescribed.
• Perform quality assurance and radiation safety to reduce exposure.
• Maintain documentation, logs, and records in paper and electronic formats.
• Maintain adequate supplies and perform routine equipment checks.
• Perform routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment.
• May assist other radiology areas as assigned.

Certified CT Technologist

AMA-approved school of radiology technology

ARRT certified in radiologic technology

Current BLS certification

Cross-training to CT within 12 months
