Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Tennessee seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT exams per protocol while delivering high-quality patient care. You will prepare patients, start IVs for contrast, manage orders and documentation, and participate in on-call rotations.

The role emphasizes ALARA principles, effective communication with radiologists, physicians, and families, and ongoing quality improvement within the imaging department.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-CT certification and ARRTR certification.
• Associate degree required; radiology experience preferred.
• Ability to start IVs and manage contrast administration.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams following protocols in a timely manner.
• Take patient history and retrieve orders or prior images.
• Provide patient information and signs to the radiologist.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Coordinate patient flow and ensure all exams are complete.
• Support ALARA principles and QA/PI initiatives.
• Communicate with patients, families, and medical staff.
• Start IVs for contrast and use the power injector.
• Prepare procedure trays and participate in on-call rotations.
