Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Radiography program or CNMT/RT(CT) certification.
• Less than 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Ability to provide proper patient care during radiologic procedures.
• Knowledge to perform CT scans on patients of all ages.
• Proficient use of CT scanning and post-procedure processing software.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• RT - Registered Technologist Radiology in Pennsylvania.
• CT ARRT certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs all imaging procedures and operates CT equipment safely and properly.
• Reviews images and repeats as necessary for best result.
• Communicates with patients, explaining exams in lay terms and keeping them informed.
• Prepares images for PACs and administers contrast per protocol.
• Completes technical notes and sends exams to PACs promptly.
• Notifies physician of adverse reactions or changes in patient condition.
• Reviews patient chart prior to exam to verify pertinent information.
• Prepares patients for CT procedures and assesses needs.
• Operates CT scanner and performs quality control for image quality.
• Attends mandatory department meetings and maintains productivity.
