Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL seeks a Florida-licensed CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT exams under radiologist supervision. You will ensure image quality, safety, and patient comfort while applying established standards and protocols.

The ideal candidate has a 24-month Radiologic Technology program, ARRT CT certification preferred, and current BLS. CT techs collaborate with the radiology team to deliver timely, precise imaging services.

Qualifications

• Florida-licensed CT Technologist required.
• ARRT CT certification preferred.
• Active Florida CRT licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• 1–3 years radiology experience.
• Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Select proper technical factors and perform CT examinations accurately.
• Operate CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system.
• Assist in administration of contrast media and related procedures.
• Position patients to ensure modesty and safety.
• Document clinical information and obtain informed consent; complete MEDITECH fields.
• Acquire high-quality CT images for interpretation.
• Stay updated on protocols through in-service study and training.
• Communicate effectively with radiologist and care team.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and stock supplies; prevent cross-contamination.
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed.
