Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center seeks a CT Radiologic Technologist to perform CT procedures under radiologist supervision, with independent judgement for imaging diagnosis.

You will prepare patients, acquire high-quality cross-sectional images, assist during biopsies, maintain records, and ensure radiation safety. Opportunity offers a regular two to three weekday schedule, with potential weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Formal radiologic technology training program meeting ARRT requirements.
• NYS Licensed/Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT CT certification.
• Radiographic film processor experience.
• CAT Scan Systems familiarity.
• Epic tracking equipment experience.
• OHS Fit Test/OHS Annual Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Patient and Room Preparation: enter patient data in Epic and position patient for scan.
• Obtain cross sectional images with proper protocols for high-quality diagnosis.
• Direct involvement during biopsy procedures, assist radiologist, monitor progression.
• Photograph and label scan images, process and display final images for interpretation.
• Maintain records of image slices, injections, and related data.
• Observe radiation safety rules for patients and staff.
• Train associates and students in CAT Scan procedures.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area.
• Perform duties of a 4T technologist as needed.
• Perform other related assigned tasks.
