Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of radiographic technology.
• Credential in radiography per IX Vocational Preparation.
• Computer experience and basic cross‑sectional anatomy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs computed tomography procedures.
• Corroborates patient history and documents it for licensed practitioners.
• Prepares patient and provides instructions to obtain desired results; gains cooperation.
• Selects exam protocol as directed by radiologist and follows CT policies.
• Immobilizes patient and applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomy while considering comfort.
• Assists licensed practitioners with interventional CT procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Prepares and operates contrast agents, monitoring equipment, and related instruments.
• Evaluates image quality and adjusts display parameters; performs basic life support if needed.
• Completes patient histories, indications, and exam-related charges in the system.
• Provides patient education about tests and procedures.
• Maintains department appearance, supplies, and equipment; supports quality‑control duties.

Education
