Job summary

UofL Health, located in Shepherdsville, KY, is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. You will position patients, prepare for and assist with CT examinations, including contrast administration, and ensure accurate documentation in the hospital information system.

The role requires a JRC-approved radiologic technology program, ARRT registration, KY Radiation Operators certification, and a BLS credential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered with ARRT (Radiologic Technologist).
  • KY Radiation Operators certification required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • CT Certification preferred at time of hire but required within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Operates CT scanners in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
  • Position patients and select appropriate imaging parameters.
  • Assist radiologists with CT examinations and contrast administration.
  • Perfoms pre- and post-exam patient education.
  • Maintain accurate examinations and patient records in the computer system.
  • Participate in department training and quality improvement initiatives.
