Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an experienced CT technologist to conduct CT procedures, assist physicians, and ensure high-quality imaging. The role involves patient preparation, documentation, and PACS operation in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The candidate will work under Radiologist supervision, maintain safety standards, and mentor newer staff while supporting multiple facility locations within the medical city network. On-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• One year CT experience preferred.
• ARRT CT certification preferred.
• MRT certification
• BLS certification obtained through HCA vendor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct CT procedures to assist in diagnosis.
• Demonstrate responsibility in CT assessment and adherence to patient orders.
• Complete patient CT documentation.
• Assist physicians and radiologists during procedures.
• Perform CT scans in a timely and efficient manner.
• Prepare patients for exams according to procedure type.
• Document studies performed and manage related records.
• Operate computer and PACS systems.
• Follow safety regulations and aseptic practices.
• Maintain knowledge of scanners and exam protocols for quality.
• Cater to age-specific needs of patients.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.
• Provide safe handling for contrast administration.
• Assist with patient transport when needed.
• Follow Standard Precautions with PPE.
• Perform high-level disinfection.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• May administer contrast media.
