Biograph wealth advisors is seeking a CT Technologist for its New York City clinic. You will deliver high-quality computed tomography imaging services to patients on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate has proven experience as a CT Technologist, an active ARRT certification, and strong communication skills. Compensation ranges from $60 to $80 per hour and competitive health benefits are included.
The CT Technologist will be tasked with delivering high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging services to patients at our New York City clinic on a per diem basis. This role offers exciting prospects for future full-time employment and the opportunity to cross‑train in various imaging modalities such as DEXA and MRI.
Interpret orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional.
Clearly and professionally explain the procedure, medications, or contrast media to patients, including their purpose and potential biological effects, to ensure patients are well‑informed and understand the process.
Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
Administer IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging.
Examine images to ensure they are usable.
Accurately document patient information and procedure details in the electronic medical record system.
Clean and maintain CT scan equipment.
Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Proven experience as a CT Technologist, with a strong understanding of CT imaging principles and protocols.
Deep familiarity with CT scan equipment (GE and Canon).
Active ARRT certification.
Basic knowledge of anatomy, biology and chemistry and how to administer IVs.
Problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with CT scan equipment performance.
Observational skills to notice any problems with images.
Strong oral communication skills to field patients’ questions and collaborate with other members of the care team.
Organizational skills to maintain an orderly supply area.
Mathematical skills to manage contrast administration and maintain inventory.
Computer proficiency to operate CT scan equipment, use G‑suite and update medical records using health information systems software.
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
$60 - $80 per hour
