Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a part-time CT Technologist to perform CT procedures with attention to protocol, patient safety, and image quality. You will operate CT scanners, manage contrast media under physician orders, and document doses and timing.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technologist is required.
• Experience as a CT Technologist is preferred.
• ARRT and Florida CRT radiology licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures accurately and proficiently with protocols for each exam.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and proper sterile technique.
• Draws up or administers contrast media under physician orders and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Operates PACS and RIS according to protocols and manufacturer recommendations.
• Interacts professionally with patients and staff across all ages.

Employment Type:Part timeShift:Rotating ShiftDescription:Variable shifts including not limited to day , evenings weekends and overnighton call and holidays requiredrotation to off site health plex and Rio Vista imagingPosition Purpose Operate head or body X-ray scanners that create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan. What you will do:

• Performs CT procedures accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam. Knowledge in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordance with set protocols and the manufacturer recommendations.
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Practices proper sterile technique. Adheres to infection control guidelines.
• Interacts efficiently, professionally and courteously with all contacts.
• Draws up requested medication/contrast media and accurately records the administered amount and time as per the physician's orders.
• Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician. Recognizes signs of contrast reaction and responds with appropriate action.
• Patients served include all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technologist is required.
• Experience as a CT Technologist is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills is required
• Ability to effectively prioritize work and work under stressful situations is required

Licensure:

• Florida CRT Radiology license is required.
• ARRT is required
• ARRT (CT) is required
• BLS certification is required
