Job summary

Holy Cross Health Florida in Fort Lauderdale seeks an experienced CT Technologist to perform CT and related imaging procedures with emphasis on safety and accuracy. On-call rotations Saturdays/Sundays and holiday coverage are required.

The role requires ARRT CT certification preferred, Florida radiology license, and BLS; MRI experience is essential. A $20K sign-on bonus is offered for this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school for Radiology.
• Two years' CT Technologist experience preferred.
• MRI experience is required.
• Florida Radiology License, ARRT CT certification preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

• Performs CT procedures accurately with knowledge of protocols and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Administers contrast media under physician direction and manages reactions.

Job Summary

The position requires varied shifts and weekends.

• Performs a variety of technical procedures in Computerized Tomography and processes scans. Performs CT procedures accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam. Knowledge in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordancewith set protocols and the manufacturer recommendations. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy. Draws up requested medication/contrast media and accurately recordsthe administered amount and time as per the physician's orders. Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician.Recognizes signs of contrast reaction and responds appropriately with appropriate action. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the CT Scan and all equipment. Assures that the area is appropriately stocked with adequate and appropriate supplies. Provides for the physical, medical, emotional and safety needs of the patient.

• Knowledge in CT and MRI safety

• Maintain weekly and monthly QC on CT and MRI equipment

• Work independently and communicate effectively with all Radiology staff

Job Requirements

Education

• Graduation from an approved school for Radiology.
  

Experience & Skills

• Two years' experienceas a CT Technologist is preferred. Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to effectively prioritize work and work under stressful situations.

• Ability to start IVs

• Efficient in post processing and 3D reconstructions of CTA Brain, Neck and Cardiac imaging.

• MRI experience is required

Licensure/Certification

• Florida Radiology License, ARRT (CT) Certification highly preferred.

• MRI certification is required

• BLS certification is required.
