Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist in Georgia to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, operate imaging systems, and ensure patient safety from history intake through exam completion.

The ideal candidate has ARRT CT/R radiography credentials, BLS, and at least 1 year in Radiology. The role offers a full-time schedule with a potential sign-on bonus and relocation assistance, plus a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, maintaining diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions using AIDET.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers.
• Monitor patient condition; respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows and support department flow.
• Follow regulatory requirements; escalate issues as needed.
