Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Part-Time CT Technologist for outpatient services in Garden City. You will perform clinically prescribed radiographic and CT procedures, prepare and operate CT equipment, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images while complying with HIPAA and safety standards.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, procedure explanations, order verification, and teamwork with radiology staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or accredited technical program completed.
• Radiologic Technologist (Temporary) permit required at time of hire.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist IV license required within 180 days of permit issuance.
• ARRT Certification in Radiography (X-Ray) required within 180 days of hire.
• ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Follows accepted radiologic practices to determine imaging protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and collaborates with staff to ensure safety.
• Schedules exams and documents details in HIS/RIS per procedures.
• Operates CT and radiographic equipment safely and according to guidelines.
• Identifies equipment issues and reports malfunctions promptly.
