Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a CT Technologist.
• Current BLS and AART certifications required.

Job description

CT Technologist - Radiology

Baltimore, MD

Pay From: $50 per hour

MUST:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
• Current BLS certification, AART National certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing if required
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Previous experience with GE or Siemens scanners preferred
• Epic experience preferred

DUTIES:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support
• Interpret doctors' written instructions accurately
• Position patients correctly to scan specific body areas
• Operate CT equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance imaging quality
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality
• Follow safety procedures related to radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and utilize the McKesson PACS system
