Position Overview

MedStar Health is seeking a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and possess knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.

The CT Technologist will perform radiographic procedures using a computed tomography scanner, focusing on anatomical areas such as the abdomen, retroperitoneal space, obstetrics, and gynecology. Primary Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans, obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns.
• Conduct various CT examinations including abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetrics, and gynecology scans, as well as radiation therapy localization and minor surgical procedures.
• Administer IV access and contrast injections in accordance with departmental policies.
• Manage supplies and ensure availability of necessary materials.
• Review and evaluate completed tests for quality and accuracy, ensuring high-quality images.
• Transport patients to the CT scan room and prepare the environment for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Training in computer-assisted tomography.
• Experience in CT or completion of a certified CT program.
• ARMT or NMTCB licensure with the necessary documentation on file with the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• An associate’s degree is preferred.

This position offers a salary range of $34.98 - $56.85 per hour.
