A leading healthcare provider in North Providence is seeking a CT Technologist. Summary: Under the direction of the Lead CT Technologist, the CT Technologist utilizes computed tomography equipment to obtain diagnostic images for interpretation or intervention by the radiologist. Exhibits quality patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Education: High school diploma plus satisfactory completion of two years of formal training in an approved school of Radiological Technology.
Licensure: Must be ARRT certified in Radiography and CT and currently licensed by the State of Rhode Island. In addition, must be CPR certified or obtain it within 3 months from date of hire.
Experience: A minimum of six months of prior training or work experience in CT scan is required.
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Works in a well-lighted and well-ventilated area. Must meet annual safety training requirements relative to a safe work place. Must meet health-testing requirements such as TB skin test annually. Frequent patient contact requires adherence to universal precautions at all times. May be required to lift heavy objects weighing 25 pounds from time to time. May be required to lift medium to heavy objects from time to time. Involves sitting, walking, stooping and reaching. Prolonged periods of sitting, standing and walking required. May be exposed to electrical and radiant energy and unpleasant physical conditions of patients.
