Salem Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic procedures under the administrative direction of the CT Manager. Qualifications

  • CT experience preferred but not required.

Job description

Position Overview

Under the administrative direction of the CT Manager, the CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT procedures at a level of competence not requiring constant supervision to technical detail. The technologist assumes responsibility for designated areas, procedures, and students as assigned, including variable nights and some weekends.

Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build rapport with others.
  • Organizational skills to work efficiently and orderly.
  • Ability to function effectively in emergency situations.
  • Good memory for numbers and names.
  • Normal or corrected vision for visual safety checks.
  • Normal or corrected hearing for safe interaction with patients and staff.
  • Previous CT experience preferred but not required; consideration will be given to graduates of a formal Radiologic Technology Training program with the required license and registration.
  • Successful completion of a formal Radiologic Technology Training program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRC/ERT).
  • Licensure with the MA Department of Public Health to practice Radiology in Massachusetts.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R)).
