Job Summary and Qualifications
We are currently seeking a Florida‑licensed CT Technologist on a full‑time basis. Night shift availability is necessary for consideration. As a CT Tech, you will be competent in performing examinations of the brain, total spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, upper and lower extremities, sella, and biopsies. We prioritize patient care activities for those who are dedicated to caring for others.
The facility is a Level II Trauma Center and requires availability for rotating call assignments.
CT Technologist Duties
- Select proper technical factors, perform and complete diagnostic CT examinations accurately and compassionately.
- Possess thorough operational knowledge of the CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system.
- Assist in the administration of contrast media and related procedures.
- Prepare, transfer, and position patients safely, ensuring modesty and using auxiliary equipment as indicated.
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields in MEDITECH within required time.
- Obtain high‑quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
- Maintain proficiency with software protocols and stay current through in‑service study, courses, or seminars as needed.
- Communicate proactively with patients, caregivers, and the radiologist.
- Check equipment operation, maintain cleanliness of the table and equipment to prevent cross‑contamination, and keep rooms stocked with linens and supplies.
- Accept on‑call and call‑back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
Qualifications
- Vocational or technical education in Radiologic Technology.
- Valid ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications.
- Clear and active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting patients or equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of current or recent experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in an acute‑care hospital setting.
