The CT Technologist at St. Joseph's Health uses CT scanners to produce cross‑sectional images for diagnostic purposes, under supervision. The role requires completing a two‑year radiologic technology program and valid NY radiology registration, with a minimum two years’ experience preferred.

CT certification must be obtained within one year of hire. The position offers a night shift and a comprehensive credentialing pathway, with emphasis on safety, accuracy and patient care.

Qualificações

• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• A minimum of two years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist is strongly preferred.
• Valid New York State radiology registration as required by state law.
• Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• CT certification is required within one year from hire date.

Responsabilidades

• Accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions.
• Administer contrast material.
• Prepare and operate CT scan equipment.
• Position patient to capture appropriate images.
• Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading.
• Cleans and disinfects scanner and exam rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques.
• Act as liaison between patients and radiologists and the support team.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
