Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, GA, seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, monitor dose, and ensure accurate documentation in RIS/PACS, while maintaining ALARA principles.

The role offers a Fri–Sun 7:00am–7:30pm schedule, a sign‑on bonus, relocation assistance for eligible candidates, and a comprehensive benefits program including PTO and education opportunities via CareerCare.

Qualifications

• Must have diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience required.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, plus BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines.
• Maintain diagnostic image quality while minimizing dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment.
• Verify orders and patient identifiers; obtain clinical history.
• Explain procedures and help reduce patient anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Support department flow and keep areas stocked and compliant.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography).
• Certifications: ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed).
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain/restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and elevate issues to the supervisor.
