Responsibilities

• Access patient's condition prior to administering contrast media or performing radiography procedure.
• Perform radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician.
• Position patient for proper view of affected area.
• Prepare contrast media and administer to patient.
• Ensure consent forms are signed before the procedure.
• Chart completion of exams and pertinent information.
• Discuss procedure results with departmental supervisors.
• Participate in quality assurance monitoring.
• Operate portable radiographic equipment throughout the hospital.
• Work control desk and perform PACS duties as needed.
• Ensure accurate PACS operation and transmission of images.
• Teach radiography technology students proper procedures.
• Transport and assist patients to/from imaging departments.
