Job summary

The Northwest Health - La Porte CT Technologist I operates CT equipment to produce diagnostic images with emphasis on patient safety and comfort. You will position patients, maintain equipment, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver timely results.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of clinical radiologic experience, or 2–4 years as CT Technologist in acute care; CT certification eligibility and state license are required or pending.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical experience acquired through an accredited radiologic sciences program required
• 2-4 years of experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care hospital setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment and processing systems to produce high-quality images.
• Prepares and positions patients for CT procedures with appropriate immobilization.
• Verifies patient identity and physician orders; screens for contraindications.
• Administers contrast media according to protocol and monitors for reactions.
• Explains procedures to patients and provides post-exam instructions.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure timely results.
• Supports interventional CT procedures and sterile field setup as needed.
• Maintains QC checks on CT equipment and documents findings.
