Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk in eastern Long Island is seeking a CT Technologist to join our Radiology team. The role covers performing medically prescribed CT and radiographic procedures, preparing equipment, and positioning patients for high-quality images.

The successful candidate will hold an accredited technical degree, NYS licensure, ARRT certifications, and BLS, and will work the full-time night shift from 10:00 PM to 08:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or accredited technical program completion.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist IV license required within 180 days of hire.
• ARRT Certification in Radiography (X-Ray) required within 180 days of hire.
• ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within 1 year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Follows accepted radiologic practices to determine imaging protocols.
• Performs CT and radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Explains procedures and equipment to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information and scheduling in HIS/RIS.
• Operates CT equipment safely and performs routine quality checks.
