In this entry-level, full-time position, you will be responsible for producing diagnostic quality scans across all age groups. Ideal candidates should possess certifications in Radiologic Technology and Basic Life Support, along with proficiency in CT procedures. Qualifications

  • One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting.
  • Experience performing CT procedures preferred.
  • Proficiency in scanning trauma and challenging patients.
  • Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board.
  • ARRT CT certification within 6 months of CT assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Produce optimal diagnostic quality scans of patients.
  • Follow established scanning protocols and document accurately.
  • Assist Radiologist during invasive procedures.
  • Complete quality scans and prioritize STAT/urgent work.
  • Assist Radiologist during invasive procedures and ensure supplies.
  • Document and ensure CT equipment is functioning properly.

Job Summary And Qualifications
  • Consistently produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients ranging from Neonatal to Geriatric age groups.
  • Follow established scanning and viewing protocols.
  • Operate CT scanner (any models) and related equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Complete quality scans in a timely manner, effectively organizing and prioritizing workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute and challenging patients; modify positioning and scanning factors as needed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of disease processes and produce studies that optimally identify related anatomy.
  • Demonstrate competence in using the power injector; verbalize limits of use.
  • Scan patients of all ages, tailoring exam to the age/size/weight/special needs of patients.
  • Complete required documentation on forms, logs, workstation and Meditech.
  • Assist the Radiologist during invasive procedures; demonstrate knowledge of supplies required and ensure availability.
  • Ensure CT and department equipment is functioning properly.

Qualifications
  • One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting.
  • One year experience performing CT procedures – preferred.
  • Graduate from an accredited approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Completion of courses in computed tomography (CT) and cross‑sectional anatomy.
  • Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy.
  • Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (R)).
  • Certified in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (CT)) within 6 months of CT assignment.
