This community's appeal continues to grow as exciting new developments are underway near the AdventHealth Minneola campus.

· AdventHealth Minneola's 80-bed hospital will bring inpatient care to the growing population of South Lake County. Spanning approximately 204,000 square feet, the hospital will include an emergency department; full-service imaging; five operating suites; endoscopy services; outpatient laboratory; heart catheterization labs; critical care and general medical/surgical rooms. We are proud to be delivering clinical solutions for the mind, body, and spirit in the Minneola community.

The role you’ll contribute: Under general supervision, responsible for managing the daily operations in the CT area to ensure smooth and efficient flow, including maintenance of supplies within the designated budget. Performs imaging of neuro and body scans following AdventHealth parameters, building/performance of complicated 3D and CTA studies, and performs QA audits. Utilizes hospital performance improvement processes in the goals of Imaging Services. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all referring physicians, hospital, and commercial agencies. Meets with customers and partners to ensure service levels are maintained (rounding). Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for maintaining respectful relationships with all.

• Performs all exams on all patient types: inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department using ADVENTHEALTH CT protocols. Follows policy for proper patient identification prior to exams. Educates patients about the exam. Screens patients for contrast allergies. Starts IVs and uses power injectors. Performs complicated 3D and CTA studies, including supervision and administration of exams.
• Completes all exams timely, maintains workflow, and minimizes empty table time. Coordinates post-exam procedures including communication, transportation, and discharge for outpatients. Monitors daily time and attendance. Orders supplies.
• Performs all types of CT imaging procedures, operates equipment safely, and adapts protocols as necessary. Serves as a clinical instructor. Ensures safety standards, maintains a clean and organized workspace, and performs quality assurance on scanners.
• Properly screens patients of childbearing age, minimizes radiation exposure, and practices infection control standards. May include transport of pharmaceutical waste, requiring initial and refresher training on handling and disposal, and proper PPE use.
• Reviews images, repeats as necessary for quality, and provides feedback for evaluations. Conducts daily image critiques.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Current valid State of Florida license as a General Radiographer
• Current ARRT – R
• Current ARRT – CT
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

• Basic IV competency
• Knowledge of general physics and anatomy
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related discipline
• Minimum of one year of CT experience at AdventHealth
