Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT (CT) registry required
• State of Florida General Radiographer license required
• Vocational School Graduate or Associate Degree in Radiology
• 3-5 years of CT experience with supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises and manages the activities of the CT Scan Department.
• Operates CT Scan equipment and positions patients for diagnostic radiographs.
• Maintains Radiation Dose Optimization and Safe Use guidelines.
• Monitors Dose Watch program and regulatory compliance (ACR/state/federal).

Job Summary And Qualifications

Supervises and manages the activities of the CT Scan Department. Operates with considerable latitude for initiative, independent judgment, planning, and actions. Maintains the Radiation Dose Optimization and the Safe Use of CT Image Gently/Image Wisely. Monitors Dose Watch program and reconciliations. Assures all ACR, state and federal regulations are met. Acts as a liaison between the Physicians and the Radiologists. Reviews and updates all CT protocols. Oversees CCTA, CT Stroke Alert and Interventional Radiology procedures performed in CT. Under the direction of the Medical Director, performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of computed tomography for the diagnosis of disease in humans. Under general supervision, operates CT Scan equipment, positions patients to produce diagnostic radiographs in a safe manner and performs related duties.

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is a purpose-guided healthcare provider. We are a four-story, 150,000-square-foot hospital. We have 70 private beds and a six-bed private ICU. We provide a full range of acute care services including emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. Other services include cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. Our Emergency Department (ED) is approximately 14,500 square feet. Our ED consists of 22 private treatment rooms, an EMS entrance, and a helicopter pad.
