CommonSpirit Health in Arizona seeks a CT Technologist Lead to guide CT imaging, ensuring high-quality diagnostic exams and patient-centered care. You will perform trauma, perfusion, routine CT procedures and oversee protocol adherence, always applying ALARA principles for safety.

As part of AZ General Hospital Laveen, a 16-bed non-profit facility, you’ll collaborate with Radiologists and the SJHMC team to deliver compassionate radiology services and innovate patient care while maintaining

Formación

  • ARRT CT certification or equivalent
  • Registered Technologist CT and Radiography per ARRT
  • AZ Medical Radiographer license
  • BLS certification for healthcare providers
  • Minimum of five years’ rad tech experience

Responsabilidades

  • Performs CT scans per protocol and radiologist guidance (Trauma/ER, perfusions, routine/body, neuro, cardiac, interventional).
  • Adheres to ALARA and uses radiation safety practices for patients and staff.
  • Ensures correct patient ID entry on scanner and PACS.
  • Performs work-ups and reconstructions on 3-D workstation.
  • Completes hospital forms, RadNet exams, incident and contrast information forms.
  • Documents in PACS as required.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist Lead, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

  • Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Cardiac and Interventional Procedures, Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others. Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitats.
  • Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier, hand hygiene and universal precautions. Always produces high quality diagnostic exams.
  • Accurately enters, selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
  • Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation
  • Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol. Completes exams in Radnet. Completes incident reports/extravasations forms. Completes patient contrast information forms.
  • Scans in documentation as required into PACS

  • Completion of approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved Radiologic Technologist Program
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)
  • CT Radiology Tech: AZ
  • Five years of rad tech experience
