Job summary

UPMC Carlisle is seeking a CT Technologist to support the CT Scan Department. Location: UPMC Carlisle. Employment Type: Casual. Schedule: at least 16 hours per month with weekend and holiday coverage required.

The role involves performing CT procedures, managing contrast administration, and ensuring accurate documentation and charging in the RIS/ISITE systems. ARRT CNMT registries and BLS/CPR are required or pursued within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• ARRT certified radiologic technologist required or ARRT registry eligible with 6 months to obtain.
• CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date.
• BLS or CPR certification required.
• ARRT/NMTC or CNMT registries may apply per CSR and department policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures using established protocols with contrast administration.
• Operate imaging equipment for acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation of data.
• Ensure exams are coded and tracked in RIS and archived in ISITE.
• Administer contrast per physician orders and assess risk factors.
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety.
