Responsibilities include patient preparation, contrast administration per policy, operating CT equipment, exam flow coordination, and thorough documentation in PACS and the medical record, while upholding compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Computed Tomography (CT)
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical records and image archive systems.
