Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist II for night shifts to perform advanced CT imaging and contrast studies. The role emphasizes patient safety, radiation protection, and high-quality images for radiologist interpretation within a busy radiology department.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited radiologic sciences program and CT certification, with experience in interventional CT and emergency care.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of clinical radiologic experience from an accredited program.
• 3–5 years CT Technologist experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT imaging procedures with accuracy following established protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepares patients for CT exams, screens for contraindications, and positions them for optimal imaging.
• Administers contrast media per policy and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Explains procedures to patients and provides instructions during and after exams.
• Maintains patient safety and adheres to ALARA radiation protection principles.
• Performs quality control checks on CT equipment and documents results.
• Collaborates with radiologists and staff to update CT protocols and maintains records in RIS/EMR.
