Job description

Join to apply for the CT Technologist II role at PRINCETON BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER.

Position Summary:

Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to radiation safety principles.

Location: Primary location (7243 Della Dr, Suite C, Orlando, FL 32819), with required float to other locations within the Orlando area.

Schedule: 4/10 (7am-5:30pm) - Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  1. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
  2. Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
  3. Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
  4. Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives.
  5. Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age-specific needs.
  6. Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
  7. Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient’s clinical history, and ensures accurate documentation.
  8. Positions patient, equipment, and manipulates technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.
  9. Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring all anatomy is demonstrated.
  10. Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure.
  11. Participates in Quality Control standards and tasks.
  12. Demonstrates proficiency in contrast medication administration, with and without power injectors.
  13. Performs venipuncture and evaluates IV access for contrast administration as prescribed.
  14. Administers medical aid in case of adverse reactions or emergencies.
  15. Uses standard precautions and PPE to prevent cross-contamination.
  16. Supervises student technologists and trains new technologists.
  17. Utilizes all radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
  18. Maintains safety and compliance with policies, guidelines, and standards.
  19. Maintains regular, punctual attendance per policies and standards.

Qualifications:

Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology school.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist license by the State of Florida.
  • ARRT certification (R and CT).
  • Current AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years CT experience, with proficiency in advanced imaging, including 3D Lab, IR, or Cardiac imaging. Experience as a site proctor or in dual imaging roles is preferred.
