Qualifications

• Associate degree or accredited radiologic technology certificate; less than 1 year of CT experience or completion of a CT training program preferred.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety, and patient care techniques.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures across diverse patient populations with attention to dose optimization.
• Assist with CT-guided invasive procedures and administer contrast per policy.
• Contribute to performance improvement, workflow optimization, and staff training.
• Maintain clean, safe exam rooms and manage supplies.
• Transport patients and verify exam orders; educate patients to aid cooperation.
• Ensure equipment function via quality control and report concerns.
• Document patient activities in EHR and distribute images for interpretation.
• Provide patient education and emotional support, upholding professionalism.

Role Overview: The CT Technologist II is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality imaging services in a team-oriented environment. They perform clinical CT procedures, ensuring appropriate patient care, safety, and comfort while adhering to radiation safety principles and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute clinical CT procedures across diverse patient populations, selecting suitable technical factors and supporting radiation dose reduction principles.
• Assist with invasive procedures under CT guidance and administer contrast media following established policies.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, workflow optimization, and contribute to staff training and onboarding.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment, prepare exam rooms, and manage supplies and inventory.
• Transport patients, verify exam orders, educate and communicate effectively with patients to promote understanding and cooperation.
• Ensure equipment functionality through quality control, report concerns promptly, and maintain aseptic techniques for invasive procedures.
• Document patient activities accurately in electronic health records and distribute images efficiently for interpretation.
• Provide patient education and emotional support, escalating concerns as needed, while demonstrating professionalism aligned with organizational values.
