Job summary

Geisinger in Scranton, PA seeks a CT Technologist I to perform computed tomography and support interventional procedures in a clinical setting. The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to ALARA, and accurate data handling.

New graduates must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB credentials before starting. Advancement to CT Technologist II may occur within 24 months based on demonstrated skills and experience. Eligible applicants may receive a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB certification required upon hire.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB prior to first day.
• Advancement to CT Technologist II may occur within 24 months based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order is obtained, patient identification and preparation, and proper documentation of clinical history.
• Utilizes imaging protocol and ALARA principles to maximize safety and quality of care.
• Preparing and/or administering medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for proper positioning and verifies data transfer and archival storage.
• Educating and monitoring students and other health care providers.
• Assisting a licensed practitioner with interventional CT procedures.
• Performing computed tomography procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
