Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to ALARA principles. The role supports licensed practitioners and may advance to higher levels based on skills and experience.

New grads must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB certification before start; ARRT/NMTCB certification required on hire, with potential pathway to Level 2 within 24 months for hires after March 10, 2024.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB certification required upon hire.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB prior to first day of employment.
• Advancement to level 2 within 24 months of hire for those hired after 2024.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order, patient identification, and history documentation.
• Uses imaging protocols to maximize safety and ALARA principles.
• Administers medications via vascular access under practitioner direction.
• Evaluates image quality and data transfer/post processing as needed.
• Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
• Assists licensed practitioners with interventional CT procedures.
• Performs CT procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.

Education

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology

Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred)
