Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT imaging according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician. The role requires a solid understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology, with emphasis on radiation protection and safety.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have completed an AMA-approved radiology program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Registered Technologist (R) with CT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information ordered by the physician.
• Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy.
• Maintain knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology; demonstrate critical thinking and professional judgment in patient care.

Job description

The CT Technologist performs CT imaging according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician. They must demonstrate an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology. One must maintain knowledge in radiation protection and safety. Preparation and administration of contrast media is performed in accordance with hospital policy. The use of critical thinking, professional and ethical judgment is to be demonstrated in the quality of care delivered.
