Job summary

Temple Health CT Technologist performs CT imaging according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician. The role requires knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and radiation safety; preparation and administration of contrast media follow hospital policy.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and AMA-approved radiology program completion, Basic Life Support, and registration as a Radiologic

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• AMA approved radiology program completion is required.
• General experience is preferred and BLS is required.
• Radiologic Technologist (R) CT or Radiologic Technologist (R) registration is required.

Job description

The CT Technologist performs CT imaging according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician. They must demonstrate an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology. One must maintain knowledge in radiation protection and safety. Preparation and administration of contrast media is performed in accordance with hospital policy. The use of critical thinking, professional and ethical judgment is to be demonstrated in the quality of care delivered.
