Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT examinations under supervision, following established protocols for patients from pediatric to geriatric, with care for safety and image quality.

The role requires AMA-accredited radiologic technology education, ARRT registration, SC SCRQSA licensure, BLS, and Advanced Modality registration within 1 year; ACLS preferred. Work schedule includes Fri–Sun 6p–6:30a.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification is required.
• SCRQSA licensure is required to practice in SC.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations following established protocols.
• Assist with imaging procedures across pediatric to geriatric populations.
• Maintain patient safety, image quality, and regulatory compliance.

Education: Graduation from an AMA approved school of radiologic technology
Work Experience: 1 year of Radiologic experience. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA), and must obtain Advanced Modality registration within 1 year of hire date. Current American Heart Association (AHA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Work Experience: 0-2 years of modality specific experience. Registration/Certifications: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). ARRT CT Registration required within 1 year in position. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
