Overview

CT Technologist - PRN

As a CT Technologist, you will perform technical diagnostic CT imaging procedures. Every day you will review and verify physician’s orders, perform CT exams, communicate with and involve the patient in the diagnostic test, and start patient IVs.

Responsibilities

  1. Performs CT exams
  2. Prepares equipment
  3. Maintains equipment and room after each procedure
  4. Completes all quality checks and ensures that equipment logs are maintained
  5. Reviews the physician orders to verify the type of diagnostic test requested
  6. Informs the patient of the diagnostic procedure being performed

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  1. Education: High School Diploma/GED required
  2. Experience: No prior experience required

Required Licensure and Certifications

  1. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (R) upon hire or transfer
  2. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (CT) within 9 months of hire or transfer
  3. Certified by the state of Texas – MRAD upon hire or transfer
  4. BLS-CPR, 14-day grace period

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Education: Associates Degree preferred.
  2. Experience: One (1) year of experience as a radiographer or one (1) year of radiography clinical rotation experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Pay Range

$26.38 - $38.26 /hour
