Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT exams, ensure high-quality imaging, and maintain safety standards. The role collaborates with radiologists and clinicians to deliver timely, accurate studies while adhering to radiology protocols and quality controls.

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with NJ licensure and ARRT CT certification preferred; BLS required. Day shift, on-site at MMC Specialty Care Center, Cat Scan department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required.
• Current ARRT certification required.
• Current New Jersey Radiologic Technologist License required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 1–3 years general radiology experience preferred.
• CT imaging experience and/or ARRT CT certification preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CT imaging procedures, radiation safety principles, patient care standards, and quality control processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations per physician orders and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images with QA/QC adherence.
• Operate CT equipment safely and comply with radiation safety standards.
• Screen, educate, and position patients for CT procedures.
• Monitor patients during imaging and respond to needs.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality prior to interpretation.
• Collaborate with radiologists and health-care team to support care and workflow.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Identify and report safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, and hazards.
• Ensure compliance with hospital, departmental, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
• Support quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and safety initiatives.
