Job summary

Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT investigations, ensure patient safety, and follow infection control protocols while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes accurate image capture, contrast administration per protocol, and adherence to department guidelines to support patient care and timely exam completion.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and ensure diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain ALARA dose optimization.
• Disinfect and prepare rooms; report equipment issues promptly.
• Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures clearly and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast as per protocol using proper techniques.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and restock life-support equipment as needed.
• Maintain workflow efficiency and support department operations and compliance.
