Job summary

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge seeks a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment and produce cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation. The role includes general radiography and fluoroscopy, with responsibilities spanning image transfer, recordkeeping, HIPAA compliance, and equipment maintenance.

Required ARRT-CT certification and BLS; CT certification and fluoroscopy licensure preferences apply by state.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• ARRT RT (R)(CT) required.
• Advanced CT certification required in OR and HI; preferred in CA.
• BLS certification required.
• Fluoroscopy license preferred in CA and OR.
• Venipuncture certification preferred in CA and OR.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures HIPAA compliance.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. This position is represented by OFNHP.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred in CA and OR
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Facility Specific License/Certifications

• ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions
